Available Maps and Prices

The Clearwater National Forest Visitors Map is a color 1/2" = 1 mile scale map. Paper maps are $9 and waterproof poly(plastic) are $10. They are available at all forest offices.

The Visitor Center at the Forest Supervisor's office in Orofino also sells maps of several National Forests in Idaho, including the nearby Nez Perce, Coeur d'Alene, St. Joe and Payette National Forests. Paper maps are $9 and waterproof poly (plastic) are $10. Call (208) 476-8267 for a list of available maps.

Maps of the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness are $9 each in paper and $10 in waterproof poly. There are separate maps for the north and south halves of this Wilderness. Gospel Hump and Frank Church Wilderness Area maps are also available for purchase.

US Geological Survey 7.5 minute quad maps of the Clearwater NF are also available for $8 each. There are approximately 130 individual quad maps that encompass the forest.

The Clearwater National Forest Supervisor's Office accepts credit cards for all, over-the-phone map purchases. Contact the Information Desk at (208) 476-8267 or (208) 476-8279 to order national forest, wilderness area or USGS topographic maps. All major credit cards are gladly accepted.

All available maps can also be mail ordered and shipping is free. Specify the map(s) you want, and send your request and a check or money order to:
