Are you planning a trip to the Clearwater National Forest?

Do You Know that?

In the State of Idaho all outfitters are required to be licensed by the State of Idaho . Outfitters operating on National Forest Lands must also have a Forest Service, Special Use Permit.

When booking a trip or arranging for guided or interpretive services on the National Forest you should ask if your service provider holds valid state licenses and Forest Service permits for these activities.

You should not ask your service provider to provide activities for which they are not licensed, or to accompany your trip outside their licensed service area. Our state outfitters have good working relationships with each other and they can help you arrange trip accommodations if your trip extends from one licensed area into another.

Each outfitter provides a range of quality experiences. You should contact each of the service providers to determine the one who can best meet your needs and expectations. Many have websites that you can view.

You need to contact the service providers directly to make service arrangements. Arrangements cannot be made through the Forest Service for these services.

You can visit the State of Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board web site to search by type of activity or use the list below.

The following outfitters are licensed by the State of Idaho and permitted by the Forest Service to operate on the Clearwater National Forest.
