SMALL PROJECTS SCOPING NOTICES
Scoping is a process of soliciting comments on a proposed action to help the Forest Service identify issues that should be considered in the analysis. Multiple small projects are often included in a single notice and request for comment.

January 13 , 2011 The Clearwater National Forest projects include forestwide trail repair and maintenance, recreation site repair and maintenance, various special use permit renewals and prescribed burning to improve wildlife habitat. Nez Perce National Forest projects include precommercial thinning and various road, trail bridge, airstrip and work center maintenance activites.
