Hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday through October 31.

Admission is $3.00 for adults, $1.00 for children 6-16, under 6 is free, and a family rate of $7.00.

2010 Date Event / Activity in Wallace, Idaho Location

Dates all-inclusive of multiple events:
1910 Fire Commemoration Events - in conjunction with local Huckleberry Festival Weekend

Ongoing Self-Guided historical tours of the Pulaski tunnel and Nine-Mile Cemetery. Activities will be present throughout town (All 1910 Fires Commemoration concurrent with Huckleberry Festival.) Contact Jim See at (jims@mullanschools.com).


In Wallace, Idaho, the Melodrama Reenactments will be held August 4 - 29 on Wednesday and Saturdays at 7:30 pm; and the Sunday matinee will be at 2:00 pm.

Hike Pulaski's route from Lake Elsie to the Adit in West Fork of Placer Creek. Lead Contact: Jim See at (jims@mullanschools.com). Noel Logar will lead the hike; hikers will meet at the Wallace High School at 9:00 am. on August 14, 2010.

On August 19, spend an evening with Stephan Pyne, author, about the significance of the big burn, and the lasting impacts of this fire. Held at the ELKS, at 7:00 PM. Henry Nipp is lead contact. Reception to follow the talk.

On August 20, in Wallace, view the Premier of the Documentary by George Sibley at the ELKS at 7:00 PM. Jim See at (jims@mullanschools.com) and Forest Vandorn are contacts. Reception to follow the viewing.

7:00 am to 10:00 am - Community breakfast $7.00/person. Eggs, ham, pancakes, coffee and juice.

ACTIVITIES IN THE PARK:

9:30 am - Fun Bike ride. "Ride the Trail, Read the Story" fun bike ride along the route that the trains took along the North Fork of the St. Joe to evacuate people as the fires over ran communities with informational signs about the fires located along the trail.

10:00 am - Dedication of a White pine tree in Ruth Lindow Park, speaker former Forest Service Chief Dale Bosworth.

11:00 am - 4:00 pm - Historic Skills, information, and arts and crafts booths

2:30pm - Bucket Brigade Race. Children can participate in a team race. Gather at the Avery Jail in the park.

5:00 pm- 6:00 pm / 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Blue Grass Band

11:30 am - 12:30 pm - Steve Coady, historian, presentation about Ranger Debitt and early Forest Rangers
