Minutes and Information from Past Meetings
- April 27, 2000: The Monitoring and Inventory Working Group held a
meeting in conjunction with the 2000 Cooper Ornithological Society meeting. Several important
topics were aired for the first time, and decisions on how the Working Group will proceed in the
future was considered by the attendees. This was intended to be the first of a series of meetings
and working groups to further the goal of landbird monitoring in North America. For further

- Meeting of the
Partners in Flight Management Steering Committee,
Illinois Beach, Illinois, March 22-23, 2000. This is a summary
of those items that might be of interest for the Monitoring and
Inventory Working Group.
- Meeting on "Landbird Monitoring and Data,"
Patuxent wildlife Research
Center, Laurel, Maryland, held on January 27, 1997.
- Monitoring Subgroup Meeting
held during the PIF Western Working Group Meetings, Portland, Oregon
(January 29-31, 1997).
- Monitoring Working Group Meeting
held in Washington, DC during the North
American wildlife and Natural Resources Conference (March 16, 1997).
- Bird/Habitat Subgroup of the Monitoring Working
Group meeting held in Washington, DC (December 2, 1997).

- Current Goals of the Monitoring Working Group:

- October 22-23, 1997: A meeting of
the Monitoring and Inventory Working Group was held
at the Conference on "Research and
management of Cowbirds in Eastern and Western landscapes",
at the Red Lion Inn, Sacramento,
California. The conference, scheduled for
October 23-25, was hosted by the Research
Working Group of PIF and the Department of Biological Sciences,
California State University,
Sacramento.

One of the topics to be discussed at the
