Upper Prairie Creek Hydrologic Data:
Study Information
Redwood Sciences Laboratory installed the boom at Upper Prairie Creek station for equipment testing and development purposes. The station was installed by Redwood National Park to monitor the effects of the Hwy 101 by-pass construction project.

Location Information
The Upper Prairie Creek station is located on Prairie Creek, in Prairie Creek State Park, near Orick, California.

[Boom]

Bridge mounted boom positions the turbidity probe and pumping sampler intake in the water column.

[Housing]

The boom is lifted to a vertical position with a winch to facilitate cleaning the turbidity probe.

[Winch]

A housing designed to protect the turbidity probe from debris is mounted on the end of the hinged arm.
