DECNET

DecNet is a prototype program developed by Tim Haas that translates Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS) files and outputs into a structure suitable for using with Netica.

DECISION PROTOCOL

Decision Protocol 2.0 provides many of the lower level protocols in question format within CRAFT's Wizard.

INDICATORS

The Forest Biodiversity Indicators Selection Web Tool was developed as part of the research program directed by the National Commission on Science for Sustainable Forestry. While the research highlighted on this web site focuses on biodiversity, the generic approach to indicator selection is valid for most resource problems.

The Key National Indicators Initiative web site provides a general background on performance indicators in a wide variety of applications.

MONITORING

Making Monitoring Work for Managers: Thoughts on a conceptual framework for improved monitoring within large-scale ecosystem management efforts. Written by Danny C. Lee and Gay A. Bradshaw. This report discusses the use of influence diagrams in designing a decision-based monitoring program.

The Forest Monitoring Web Server is designed to facilitate access to legal, technical and program guidance for multi-scale monitoring in the National Forest system. It brings together in one place links to all of the various monitoring guides and resources. The web site is maintained by the Inventory and Monitoring Institute, a Forest Service nationally chartered organization.
