Westwide Climate Initiative - Toolkit Project
Toolkit for Adapting to Climate Change on Western National Forests:
Incorporating Climate into Resource Management and Planning
The Toolkit Project is a product of the Westwide Climate Initiative,
a joint effort of the three western Forest Service Research Stations
to assess climates at scales relevant to national forest management,
develop tools to quantify effects of climate change on natural resources,
and promote new strategies for national forest planning and management.
Pacific SW Research Station (PSW) has two toolkit projects, one on the
Inyo NF and one on the Tahoe NF. Pacific NW Research Station (PNW) has
a toolkit project on the Olympic NF. Rocky Mountain Research Station
(RM) has a toolkit project on The Shoshone NF. Products from these pilot
toolkit projects will be linked here as they are finalized.
