Conferences and Workshops
- PSW and PSW scientists are integral to the MTNCLIM 2012 conference
to be held October 1-4, 2012 at the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes park
CO. The MTNCLIM research conferences are sponsored by the Consortium
for Integrated Climate Research on Western Mountains (CIRMOUNT), and
are dedicated to mountain climate sciences and effects of climate
variability on ecosystems, natural resources, and conservation in
western North American mountains. For more information: MTNCLIM2012
- PSW scientists are integral in organization of two CIRMOUNT-sponsored sessions at
the Fall AGU Conference in San Francisco. This year the sessions will be held December 7, 2011.
Poster session: GC 31A, Climate change and drought, 8am-12:20pm,

Oral session: GC 34A, Climatic water deficit and water balance
in mountain systems: biophysics, ecohydrology, and impacts, 4-6pm,

- As part of the Westwide Climate Initiative - Toolkit Project, PSW
scientists spearheaded a workshop for managers,
Evaluating Climate Change in the Eastern Sierra Nevada: Adaptation
Options for Planning & Project Implementation held September 22-23,
2009 in Bishop. CA.
- Several PSW scientists were central to the symposium, Coping
with Climate Change in Sierran Systems held March 17-18, 2009
at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences, Incline Village, NV.
- PSW was one of the major sponsors of the Climate,
Ecosystems, and Resources of Eastern California conference (CEREC)
held in Bishop, CA, Nov 5-8, 2008.
- PSW was involved with the New
Mexico Forestry and Climate Change Workshop held 20 November,
2008 in Albuquerque, NM.
- PSW was a major sponsor and several PSW scientists held key positions
in the workshop,
