Title: THREE-PEE SAMPLING THEORY and program 'THRP' for computer generation of selection criteria

Author: Grosenbaugh, L. R.

Date: 1965

Source: Res. Paper PSW-RP-21. Berkeley, CA: Pacific Southwest Forest & Range Experiment Station, Forest Service, U. S. Department of Agriculture; 53 p

Station ID: RP-PSW-021

Description: Theory necessary for sampling with probability proportional to prediction ('three-pee,' or '3P,' sampling) is first developed and then exemplified by numerical comparisons of several estimators. Program 'T RP' for computer generation of appropriate 3P-sample-selection criteria is described, and convenient random integer dispensers are illustrated.
