Tree Stewardship

Stewardship of urban trees is necessary to maintain and improve urban forest health. Center research focuses on developing volunteer tree inventory and monitoring guidelines for use in cities that have limited budgets for tree stewardship. Research also focuses on developing species lists that are climate-specific, helping to minimize maintenance costs by planting the right type of tree at the start.
