Research Interests/Duties
1980-Present. Station Statistician for Pacific Southwest Research Station, USDA Forest Service, Albany, California. Currently Unit Leader for the PSW Environmental Statistics Unit. Performs statistical consulting and statistical reviews of manuscripts and study plans for all aspects of the Station's research programs in wildlife, timber, hydrology, entomology, urban forestry, fisheries, recreation, genetics, and fire. In addition, statistical-consulting support has been and continues to be provided for the State of California, State of Hawaii, Hawaii Nature Conservancy, Fish and Wildlife Service, and the National Park Service.
1979-1980. Statistician for Rockwell International, Hanford, Washington. Designed and analyzed experiments concerning the storage of nuclear waste.
1978-1979. Visiting Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico. Taught statistics and calculus to undergraduate engineers and introductory statistics courses to the general student population.
