Research Interests/Duties

As an Assistant Station Director at the Pacific Southwest Research Station, Alfred manages the Station's budget and finance, grants and agreements, engineering and facilities management, safety, acquisitions, civil rights, administrative support services, workforce services, agency outreach, IT support, and statistics support throughout California, Hawaii, and U.S. affiliated Pacific Islands.

Before joining the Department of Agriculture Forest Service R&D, Alfred was a Branch Chief with the Department of Defense managing a program at four federal facilities and worked in the private sector as a Director of Operations for Seasons Healthcare Inc. Alfred has held various senior leadership roles within the government and served in the United States Army as a Commissioned Officer.
