Demonstration of Ecosystem Management Options--the DEMO Project: This project is a joint effort between PNW Research and Region 6 of the National Forest System. Ecological Foundations of Biodiversity  This team evolved from the old-growth wildlife habitat research and development program, spotted owl research, and the wildlife habitat relationships research unit in western Washington and Oregon. Team Leader, Andy Carey, and the scientists for this team are located in Olympia, Washington. They are part of the Ecosystem Processes program. 

Ecologically Sustainable Production of Forest Resources  Team Leader, Jamie Barbour, and the scientists for this team are located in Portland, Oregon. They are part of the Social and Economic Values program.

Forest-Systems Engineering (FORSYS) This project is research of  the Westside Silviculture Options Team, part of the Resource Management and Productivity program. The acting team leader, Steve Reutebuch, is located in Seattle, Washington.  This research  is a cooperative effort with the University of Washington.

FrostFIRE (A prescribed fire experiment in boreal Alaskan forest) This landscape-scale prescribed fire experiment is directed by team leader, Sam Sandberg in Corvallis, Oregon. The team, Fire and Environmental Research Applications, is part of the Managing Disturbance Regimes program and has scientists in Seattle, Washington as well as Corvallis.
