Genetic and Silvicultural Foundations for Management
Fall River Long-term Productivity Study
A cooperative study between Weyerhaeuser Company; the University of Washington,
College of Forest Resources; and the Pacific Northwest Research Station,
Westside Silvicultural Options Team is evaluating the effects of different
organic matter removal rates, vegetation and nutrient management, and
soil structure on long-term productivity of a Douglas-fir ecosystem. Individual
projects assess soil and water nutrients, nutrient pools, vegetation development,
microclimate, and seedling water relations. More
