Ecoshare provides information on the environment, ecology, and natural
resources in the Pacific Northwest. Included are publications, data sets,
code sets, GIS data, and plant photography. All materials presented are
in the public domain (US Forest Service and BLM documents). The searchable
publications data base include plant association guides, plant identification
guides and other forestry related publications for the PNW. Hint: A keyword
search with “huckleberry” or “Vaccinium” will
not yield results. Instead the user needs to first know where (geographically
and ecologically) huckleberry species occur and download those guides
pertinent to those situations. By so doing the user will be rewarded with
considerable information about the natural habitats and associated vegetation
for each species.
