This volume contains 4 photo series including grassland, shrubland, woodland and forest types in Hawaii. Each group of photos includes inventory information summarizing vegetation composition, structure, and loading, and as appropriate, woody material loading and various site characteristics.
Unlike other photo series volumes, Hawaii sites were selected to represent some of the high variation in environmental and botanical conditions on public lands. Owing to sampling constraints and the diversity of habitats in Hawaii, not all vegetation types present in the islands were sampled, and depictions of ranges of fuel and vegetation conditions was not possible in this volume.
