Volume V: Central and Lake States
This volume contains
three photo series of major
vegetation types in the Midwest. The supplemental volume Va contains a photo
series of Jack Pine forests in the Midwest.
Each photo series contains single and stereo
photographs that display a range of natural conditions and fuel loadings. Each
site includes inventory information summarizing vegetation composition,
structure and loading, and, as appropriate, woody material loading and density
by size class, forest floor depth and loading, and various site characteristics.
