Managing Fuelbed Files

The 216 FCCS fuelbeds are stored within the FCCS folder at: \fccs\conf\fuelbeds\ .  These files are write protected within FCCS and cannot be edited.

Customized fuelbeds are stored in a subdirectory of the fuelbed folder: \fccs\conf\fuelbeds\user_fuelbed
Searching for custom fuelbeds
Custom fuelbeds that are stored loosly in the user_fuelbed folder are included in FCCS fuelbed searches.  If you choose to organize your custom fuelbeds into subfolders, these fuelbeds will not be included in search results.

Sharing custom fuelbed files
To share a custom fuelbed file with another user, locate the fuelbed (e.g., fuelbed1.xml) from the user_fuelbeds folder and send it as an attachment in an email or save it to a transferable medium such as a compact disc or flash drive.

Backing up and Restoring fuelbeds
If you are building a library of custom fuelbeds, you should include the …\fccs\conf\fuelbeds\user_fuelbeds in your regular backups.

WARNING: If you reinstall or update the FCCS, and you have any customized fuelbeds in the ...\fccs\conf\fuelbeds\user_fuelbeds directory, copy them to a location outside the FCCS before reinstalling the program. Otherwise, your customized fuelbeds will be automatically deleted.
