The search for fuelbed form contains seven selection criteria, or search variables, to help you locate fuelbeds of interest: ecoregion, vegetation form, structural class, cover type, change agent, natural fire regime and fire regime condition class (FRCC).

1.  To search for a fuelbed, you must first select an Ecoregion - Vegetation form combination.  Additional search variables are optional.

  • To select additional search variables, click on the corresponding button under “Include in search,” then click the down arrow to the right of each variable box to make your selection.
2.  After selecting search variables, click Search for Fuelbed.
  • Select a fuelbed in the search results listed at the bottom left of the screen.  Note that fuelbed names include associated change agents in parenthesesA description of the selected fuelbed will appear to the right.
  • Click Next to view and edit the fuelbed characteristics.
Tip:  not all search variable combinations result in a match. If your search does not produce a match, try broadening your search.
