Volume VIII: Hardwood, Pitch Pine, and Red Spruce/Balsam Fir Types in the Northeastern United StatesThree series of single and stereo photographs display a range of natural conditions and fuel loadings in hardwood, pitch pine, and red spruce/balsam fir ecosystems in the Northeastern United States. Each group of photos includes inventory data summarizing vegetation composition, structure, and loading; woody material loading and density by size class; forest floor depth and loading; and various site characteristics.
