To learn more, visit their Employment Opportunities website http://www.washington.edu/admin/hr/jobs/apl/ and search under Req #: 59565 This position will contribute to the success of the Fire and Environmental Research Applications Team by providing technical expertise in designing and programming computing technology in support of a fire, fuels, and combustion research group composed of university faculty and researchers, scientists from cooperating agencies and contractors. The position requires independent planning, prioritizing, and execution of projects and tasks under the general direction of an SFR faculty member and a FERA scientist representing the interests of the FERA group. The position will develop solutions for the efficient use of computing technologies within individual research projects and optimize resources shared among several research groups. The position involves managing a project to integrate fire and fuels management tools which have been developed by the research group into a common user interface.
