Incorporation of FCCS Fuelbed Layer into LANDFIRE

Members of the FCCS and LANDFIRE teams worked together to develop an FCCS fuelbed GIS layer in LANDFIRE. All addditional fuelbeds have been created to facilitate complete high-resolution (30-m) map coverage of the United States. This work was completed on September 30, 2007.

FERA and LANDFIRE have developed the GIS layers to reflect these fuelbeds. The GIS layer for the western United States is incorporated in the online LANDFIRE map, in the Fire Effects section, as well as available on a CD from LANDFIRE.
