Searching for Federal Employment?
Both Fedworld and OPM use the FJOB database but use different
search techniques. The FJOB database includes both internal (must be
a current employee or have federal status) and external (open to
general public) employment opportunites for all federal agencies
including the Forest Service. It is a waste of your time to inquire
or apply for a vacancy only open to internal candidates if you are
not a current federal employee or do not have federal employment
status. The vacancy announcement will indicate which vacancies are
open to the general public.
