Fremont National Forest Trail Systems

To allow us to show more detailed information, we have separated the trail system into eight groups. Click on the links or map below for information and a map of each group. Fremont National Recreation Trail: The Fremont National Recreation Trail (NRT), also known as the Southern Oregon Intertie Trail, is still under construction. Once this trail is completed it will traverse the entire length of the Fremont National Forest from north to south and it is planned to eventually connect the Pacific Crest Trail to the Desert Scenic Trail.

Warner Mountains Trail System: Includes the southern segment of the Fremont National Recreation Trail and the Crane Mountain Trail. Hikers by Cheryl Ziebart

Woods Line Trail: A "Rails to Trails" trail. 20 Miles.

Hanan Trail: Historic Trail in a roadless area. 8 Miles.

Gearhart Mountain Wilderness Trails: Non-mechanized trails.

Campbell/Dead Horse Lakes Trail System: Accesses the Dead Horse Rim country. Several loop trails for day hikes.

Cottonwood Meadows Recreation Area Trails: Includes an easy loop trail around the lake plus a trail up to Cougar Peak and a trail along Cottonwood Creek.
