Recreation Opportunity Guides

Click here for a map of the recreation sites. This is an index of recreation sites by category. We also have a big map showing the sites and information about the trail systems.

At the bottom of each guide there is a link to a map showing how to locate the site. Some guides also have links to photos (icon) or computer animations.

Fees are not charged for any of the campgrounds, picnic areas or trails except for Eastbay Campground on Thompson Reservoir (Silver Lake Ranger District). Trash removal is provided at Eastbay but not at any of the other sites. Please help us keep these sites free by packing out your trash!

In addition to the general regulations for using recreation sites, special restrictions or closures may be in effect during periods of high fire danger. Check with a Forest Office or the "NEWS" section of the Fremont National Forest Home Page.
