• January 28, 2010 - The Great Backyard Bird Count is Back! The Black Hills National Forest encourages everyone to get outside and count birds for fun and the future beginning February 12 through February 15, 2010.

• January 15, 2010 - Higgins Gulch Temporarily Closed - For safety reasons the Northern Hills Ranger District of the Black Hills National Forest have issued a temporary closure order on Higgins Gulch, effectively immediately.

• January 15, 2010 - Travel Management Agreement The Black Hills National Forest would like to provide notice that our office and the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) intend to develop a programmatic agreement (PA) to fulfill the Forest’s legal obligations for the Black Hills National Forest Travel Management Analysis in the State of Wyoming.
