Brief Description

This program is for high school students and educators (K12). Participants learn about natural resources and how they are being managed through field trips and a land management planning exercise. Students are given many career ideas, encouraged to stay in school and have the opportunity to experience interaction with others from differing backgrounds (rural/urban and cultural). Teachers write lesson plans for their classrooms, receive a wealth of material and "handson" ideas plus 3 hours of continuing education credit from Southern Oregon State College. Cost is $50 including room, board, registration and transportation from centralized points in Oregon and Northern California. Teachers also pay approximately $40 per credit hour.
