(please include target audience, costs to participants, and program plans):
For 6th through 8th graders, this program combines classroom learning with two field trips to the forest. An interdisciplinary program, it combines natural sciences with art, poetry and reflection. Students visit identical sites in winter and spring, to study features of the area in different seasons. The program also provides three units of classroom activities, and runs two teacher workshops on how to use the curriculum. There can be bilingual programs, as well as programs for at-risk students. At present, there is no cost for the program.
