(please include target audience, costs to participants, and program plans):
Student ages 12-18 are trained as fire lookouts to volunteer on weekends in the Keller Peak Lookout, a historic tower in the Children's Forest. The tower is open to the public, and on weekends the kids serve as interpreters for interested guests. These are volunteer positions, and transportation is not provided, but the beautiful and peaceful location serves as compensation.
