Location: 19 Miles East of Kalispell, Montana
Kind of Fuels: Mixed Conifer
Cause: Lightning

Individual Fires: Beta-1,046, Doris-2,754, Blackfoot Lake-1,860, Dead Buck-11, Doe-580, Wounded Buck-26, Wildcat, Upper Lid, Ball-435, Mid-8000
Weather Conditions: A dry air mass brought lower relative humidity into the area with RH at 16% in many areas of the fire. Winds remained light and did not affect fire behavior significantly. Higher temperatures and lower humidities are expected on Sunday.
Fire Behavior: Fire activity increased as inversion lifted. Backing fires made uphill runs through unburned and partially burned fuels. Increase in fire activity is expected on Sunday.

Equipment and Personnel: 43 Hand crews, 1 Helicopter, 21 Engines, 5 Water tenders, 4 pieces of heavy equipment (includes dozers and feller bunchers), 1 boat, 129 Overhead personnel. Several helicopters were shared with the Robert incident.
Total Number of Personnel: 1,046
Threats: Powerlines and communication facilities, two recreation areas, residences in Hungry Horse and Martin City. Coram Experimental Forest and Research Natural Area.

Special Information: The Mid Fire has been added to the Blackfoot Lakes complex as of 6 a.m. this morning. This fire has burned 8,000 acres in the Bob Marshall Wilderness and is at 0% containment.
