Independence Salvage Project

In July 2011, High winds damaged about 900 acres of timber on the District. The Forest Service is proposing to treat up to 600 acres of damaged timber through a salvage harvest. Access would use existing roads, trails, and up to 2 miles of temporary road construction.

Location Summary

Project is located east of Highway 63 in the Town of Drummond, Bayfield County, Wisconsin.
