Cumo Exploration Project (previously listed as Cumo 2007 Project)
On February 11, 2011 the Decision Notice & FONSI was signed for the CuMo Project. On July 27, 2011 a lawsuit was filed. On August 29, 2012 the US District Court for the District of Idaho issued its Decision which found in favor of the Forest Service on all points except their finding of no significant impact to groundwater, remanding this matter back to the Forest Service to undertake further groundwater analysis. Thus, a supplemental EA was initiated. Scoping documents were sent out 1/31/2013, and a legal notice published on 2/5/2013. While these documents requested comments be received by 3/5/2012 to be most useful in the analysis supporting preparation of the supplemental EA, all comments received will be considered. To facilitate completion of the supplemental EA to be released in June, comments received by April 30, 2013 will be included in the comment response section of this document. Comments received after April 30, 2013 will be addressed in subsequent documents.
