James Creek Fuel Reduction Project

This project was designed to reduce the potential for crown fire initiation and spread by thinning forest stands, creating gaps in the forest canopy and removing ladder fuels that allows ground fire to reach the tops of trees. This project is in support of the National Fire Plan and hazardous fuels reduction and defensible space treatments near residential homes. Treatments include manual and mechanical operations.
