Lower West Fork Project

The purpose of the Lower West Fork project is to reduce fuel loads in and adjacent to the WUI and improve forest resilience to natural disturbance factors such as fire, insects, and disease.

Location Summary

The project location is about 7 to 15 miles southwest of Darby, Montana and includes National Forest Service lands on both sides of the west fork of the Bitterroot river.
