The ROMI 3 rough mill simulator allows users to examine many aspects of rip-first and chop-first processing, including: grade mix, arbor design, optimization, cutting bill, panels, moulding, and much more. An integrated arbor optimizer determines the best combination of spacings for a cutting bill and width distribution. ROMI 3 provides a clean easy-to-use integrated environment for analyzing rough mill operations. The results provided by ROMI-3 show the optimal yield that can be expected for a specific cutting bill and shows the numbers of parts produced overall and for each grade processed as well as cutting solution diagrams of each board processed.
