Information
The 14th USDA Interagency
Research Forum on Gypsy Moth and Other Invasive Species will be held
January 14-17, 2003, at the Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 West Street,
Annapolis, Maryland (Phone: 410-263-7777; FAX: 410-263-0084).
Room rates for the Forum
are: Single: $90.00 (this is the maximum government lodging rate for the
Annapolis area; plus 12% tax); Double: $130.00 (plus 12% tax). A block of rooms has been reserved at the
Loews and will be held until December
12, 2002; after that date, rooms
will be available on a first come, first served basis and you will need to
contact the hotel directly to check on the availability of a room. All
rooms must be guaranteed with a credit card. Daily parking fees at the
hotel are $12.00 for valet parking, $9.00 for self- parking. To ensure a room
at the meeting rate, return the enclosed reservation form by December 12 either by FAX (203-230-4315), or regular mail

Shuttle service is available
from Baltimore-Washington International Airport through BWI Super Shuttle (800-258-3826, or visit their website at
www.supershuttle.com). The cost is $19 each way. Upon arrival at the
airport, check in at the Shuttle Express desk located on the lower level of the
airport in the Ground Transportation area. (From the BWI AMTRAK station, take
the free shuttle to the airport and proceed to the Ground Transportation area.)
The shuttle runs approximately every 20 minutes. For returns, arrangements must
be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling Super Shuttle at
1-800-258-3826. For limousine service from the airport and the BWI AMTRAK
train station, contact Private Car
(410-519-0000). The fare from both the airport and the train station is
$45+15% gratuity. This rate is for either a sedan (up to 3 passengers) or for a
stretch limousine (4-6 passengers). The Private Car desk is located in the
Ground Transportation area. Reservations are required from either location and should be
made 24-48 hours in advance. Taxi service, one-way, is $35-$40.
The registration fee
for this meeting is $60.00 and pre-registration is recommended. The registration
fee for any one day is $25.00/day. Checks should be made payable to Loews Annapolis Hotel and returned to
me at the address above along with your registration form, by January 5, 2003. Please do not send your
check to the hotel. You may pay
the registration fee at the time of the meeting, but it would be helpful to have your
registration form by the due date. Should
