Background Information:

Forest susceptibility data were derived from US Forest Service Forest Inventory and Analysis data. Pest distribution and host range data were assembled in conjunction with a working group "Economic impacts of non-native forest pests and pathogens in North America" at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis with funding from The Nature Conservancy. See the metadata on the GIS Data Download page for greater detail....

Technical Information:

Data were compiled using ESRI's ArcGIS 9.2 system and published using ArcIMS 9.2. The mapping site was further tweaked using HTML and JavaScript. The ArcIMS server resides in Fort Collins, CO and is maintained by the Remote Sensing Applications Center
