Net Growth, Removals, and Mortality

  • Inventory change components are derived from the tally of trees at all remeasured sample locations based on tree history codes.

  • Inventory change components include estimates for merchantable volume (cubic feet) and sawtimber volume (board feet, International 1/4-inch Rule).

  • Inventory change components are expressed on an “average annual” basis for the period between inventories.
