The current version of Fiber3.51, is now available for download from our web site! Fiber3 is in the public domain and was developed on official US Government time.
Fiber3 is a computer tool for making silvicultural decisions. An individual-tree, distance-independent stand matrix growth model for northeastern forest types. Fiber3 also contains a forest stand growth simulator and facilitates other forest management planning functions.

The above files are self-extracting, fully functional copies of the Fiber3 programs. Right click on .zip file above and select "Save Target As...". Save file to your hard drive and unzip file. Extract the files to your hard drive into a FIBER directory. After it is downloaded, execute the file and the program files will be on your machine in that directory. You can copy the contents of the directory to a high density floppy diskette and can then use the install program included with this package to load Fiber3 on any IBM compatible computer running MS-DOS or Windows95/98/NT. Making a diskette is a good idea for multiple computer installation and for a backup copy of the program files. You can view the install.txt file included in the downloaded materials for further instructions.
