NEMO 2008

Tom Brann and Larry Gering will be hosting NEMO 2008. The following information was sent to the NEMO email list about this year’s meeting; updates will be provided as they become available.

Tom and Larry investigated the entire Maine coast (only by internet, email and phone) looking for an appropriate venue. The Stone House in Freeport (NEMO 2005) is no longer available. The facility that best meets our needs was found in Bar Harbor, on Mount Desert Island. In 2007, October 8th was the peak of the fall color season on the coast.

Registration

Full registration includes welcome coffee, lunch, afternoon break and dinner on Wednesday and morning coffee (full breakfast, if desired, is available on your own) and morning break on Thursday. Dinner will include clam chowder and traditional ceasar salad and your choice of either a Downeast Lobster Dinner with whole lobster, steamed clams, corn-on-the-cob, etc or beef tenderloin.

Early rate for professionals $225, after May 1 $275

Early rate for students $150 (dinner not included), after May 1, $200 (dinner not included)

Note: why May 1? In order to reserve the meeting room and secure our contract for special room rates, a cash deposit is required by May 1. NEMO doesn’t have a bank account or cash reserve.
