Marble Creek Trail System Location MARBLE CREEK TRAIL SYSTEM

The Marble Creek drainage combines historic attractions with hunting and fishing opportunities.

The area was logged in the early 1920's using horses, steam donkeys and a series of splash dams on the main stream. There was also a logging flume on Delaney Creek, and logging chutes on the smaller side drainages.

Remnants of many of the old logging camps, as well as the dams and logging machinery, are still visible today.

Recreational use in the drainage consists primarly of hiking, hunting and fishing. Native cutthroat trout is the principal fish species. Deep pools at old splash dam sites are the favored haunts of the endangered bull trout.
