4G14.201  Preparation of invitation for bids.

4G14.201-1  Uniform contract format.

    (d) As an option to providing two complete sets of the 
invitation for bids to each bidder, the contracting officer may 
provide the following:
    (1) One complete set in accordance with the uniform contract 
format. 
    (2) One condensed version of the contract.  This set is 
returned by the bidder.  Regions or Forests may create a local 
form based on the obsolete FS-6300-44.  The set may be prepared 
from the sections of the complete set as follows:

The acquisition official at a level above the contracting officer 
is authorized to permit the use of negotiation to complete an 
acquisition following the cancellation of an invitation for bids 
in accordance with FAR 14.404-1(f) (AGAR 415.103).
