Enter tract names using up to 26 alpha characters. Example: Big Hole Riparian Areas. 2. Regional Priority. Number priorities for each case in the Region using a three-digit numeric code. Example: 001, 002, 003, and so on. 3. Region. Use the two-digit numeric code. Example: "02" for Region 2. 4. Forest. Enter Forest names using up to 20 alpha characters. Example: "BEAVERHEAD NF". 5. State. Use the standard two-digit abbreviations for States. Example: "CA" for California. 6. Congressional District. Use the two-digit numeric code for congressional districts. 7. Acres. Round to the nearest whole acre; do not insert a decimal. 8. Amount. Round to the nearest whole dollar; do not insert a decimal. 9. Threat of Development. Use one of the following codes that best describes the potential for development of the tract and the influence of development on adjacent National Forest System land. a. Code A. This code indicates that property development is imminent (within 2-3 years) and the Regional Forester has determined the influence of the development on adjacent National Forest System land to be incompatible. b. Code B. This code indicates property development is likely within 4 to 8 years and the Regional Forester has determined the influence of the development on adjacent National Forest System land to be incompatible. c. Code C. This code indicates there is no threat of development, or the influence of the development will not be incompatible with adjacent National Forest System land. 10. Recreation Opportunity. Use one of the following codes to describe recreation opportunities associated with the tract. a. Code A. This code indicates the tract provides multiple recreation opportunities (seven or more of the activities listed in ex. 04, sec. 15.14) and is within a county with a population of one million or more. b. Code B. This code indicates the tract provides multiple recreation opportunities (seven or more of the activities listed in ex. 04, sec. 15.14) and is within 100 miles of a Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area (SMSA). c. Code C. This code indicates the tract provides multiple recreation opportunities (seven or more of the activities listed in ex. 04, sec. 15.14) and is between 100 and 250 miles from a SMSA. d. Code D. This code indicates the tract provides limited recreation opportunities (one to six of the activities listed in ex. 04, sec. 15.14) and is within 100 miles of a SMSA. e. Code E. This code indicates the tract provides limited recreation opportunities (one to six of the activities listed in exh. 04, sec. 15.14) and is between 100 and 250 miles from a SMSA. 11. Threatened and Endangered Species. Use one of the following codes to describe the tract's impact on threatened and endangered species habitat. a. Code A. This code indicates the tract preserves habitat of endangered species. b. Code B. This code indicates the tract preserves habitat of threatened species. c. Code C. This code indicates the tract preserves a recognized type of ecological community for promoting natural diversity. d. Code D. This code indicates the tract does not preserve endangered or threatened species habitat or a recognized type of ecological community. 12. Cultural or Natural Resource. Enter "Y" if the tract preserves a nationally significant natural or cultural feature of a type not now represented in any Federal conservation/recreation unit. Enter "N" if it does not. 13. Wetlands. Use one of the following codes to describe the tract's wetland characteristics. Refer to wetlands and riparian areas definitions in FSM 2520. a. Code A. This code indicates the tract is predominated by wetlands and the principal benefit to be derived from the acquisition is due to the tract's wetlands characteristics. b. Code B. This code indicates the tract contains wetlands or riparian areas occurring on over 50 percent or more of the area. c. Code C. This code indicates the tract contains wetlands or riparian areas occurring on less than 50 percent of the area. d. Code D. This code indicates the property does not contains wetlands or riparian areas. 14. Infrastructure. Use one of the following codes that describes the infrastructure needed to make the tract usable by the general public, elderly, and physically challenged. a. Code A. This code indicates the tract includes existing infrastructure required to make property accessible to and usable by the general public, elderly, and physically challenged. b. Code B. This code indicates the tract includes existing infrastructure required to make property accessible to and usable by the general public, but not by the elderly and physically challenged. c. Code C. This code indicates the tract lacks the infrastructure needed for public access. 15. Recreation Growth Rate. Enter "Y" if the tract expands a unit with a record of visitor-day growth exceeding five percent per year in at least three of the five prior years. Enter "N" if it does not. 16. Management Efficiency. Enter "Y" if the acquisition improves manageability of the unit. Enter "N" if it does not. 17. Reduced Acquisition Cost. Use one of the following codes that describes the Federal savings in acquisition costs through the use of land exchanges, donations, and other alternatives to the direct purchase of a property at full value. a. Code A. The tract costs 100 percent of agency approved estimate of value (no savings of Federal acquisition cost). b. Code B. The tract costs between 80 to 99 percent of agency approved estimate of value. c. Code C. The tract costs between 60 to 79 percent of agency approved estimate of value. d. Code D. The tract costs between 40 to 59 percent of agency approved estimate of value. e. Code E. The tract costs between 20 and 39 percent of agency approved estimate of value. f. Code F.
