21 - TENTATIVELY SUITABLE FOREST LAND CLASSIFICATION PROCESS. Identification of forest lands unsuited for timber production is a fixed input to the forest plan.

Reevaluation of unsuited forest lands must be completed every ten years, 36 CFR 219.14(d).

Redesignation of forest land suited or unsuited for timber production due to changed conditions, may be completed at any time, and must use the procedures outlined in the field guide: "Identification, Forest Lands Suitable for Timber Production", January, 1993. This field guide may be obtained from the District

NEPA Coordinator located at each District Office.
