2.8 - Physical Requirements for Temporary Employees

Primary Duty Fire Suppression/Brush Disposal:

Appointees are subject to take and pass a Step Test within the first week after appointment. An alternative to the Step Test is running 1-1/2 miles in 12 minutes or less.

SF-177, Statement of Physical Ability for Light Duty Work must be completed before the employee enters in duty status.

Primary Duty Other Than Fire Suppression/Brush Disposal:

SF-177, Statement of Physical Ability for Light Duty Work must be completed before the employee enters in duty status.

In all cases, the SF-177 must be approved by the Employment Officer.
