Food Vendors Sought For Grey Towers Festival of Wood 


MILFORD, PA—Commercial food establishments and non-profit organizations with proper 
certifications are encouraged to apply for an opportunity to provide refreshments at the annual 
Festival of Wood at Grey Towers National Historic Site, Milford, PA. 

The 2-day event, scheduled for August 6-7, 2011, attracts nearly 3,000 people to the historic 
estate. The event, which focuses on educating people about the many uses of wood in our 
everyday lives and the importance of sustainable forestry practices, is sponsored by the US 
Forest Service and numerous partners at the ancestral home of Gifford Pinchot, founder and first 
Chief of the US Forest Service.

Deadline for applications is April 1, 2011. 

All food vendors must meet health and safety guidelines that are described in the application.
