PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Roundtable is a three-day follow-up session open to all Forest Supervisors and Deputy Forest Supervisors who have completed the Grey Towers Roundtable. The session is designed as a continuation of the highly interactive process established at the Grey Towers Roundtable

• Focusing on integrating previous models and
• Establishing a consultative climate of peer support between Forest Supervisors

The “study group” format focuses on:

• Identifying the personal leadership skills and challenges of each participant, and
• Through interaction with peers, identifying the unique opportunities and solutions that each individual leadership situation demands

The process is not one of imposing one’s own solutions on others’ problems, but rather, helping each individual identify the solutions unique to each presented problem.

Opportunities will be provided for brief lectures and presentations (conflict resolution, decision making, self-directed teams, etc.), but the session will put priority primarily on a facilitated “Roundtable” process, in which participants can discuss current issues related to leadership of a National Forest.

ALTERNATES

Group size is limited to a maximum of 15 participants. Roundtable groups are established at each Grey Towers Roundtable.
