Facets of Leadership
Location:
Grey Towers National Historic Site
Milford, PA
Aimed at experienced leaders in the Forest Service, Leadership Facets will help take your leadership effectiveness to the next higher level. Each participant will leave the session with a specific plan for improving their leadership effectiveness.
The idea behind the name “Leadership Facets” is that effective leaders must, like attractive diamonds, have various aspects of their approaches to leadership that shine. The program will identify your “facets of leadership” and help you reflect on your approaches to leadership and your uses of the various facets.
The facets of leadership will be brought to life through the incorporation of a strong experiential learning component. You will “learn by doing” and engage in a leadership simulation specifically designed for this program. Additionally, the special setting of Grey Towers will contribute to enhance your learning by providing you the opportunity to learn from the leadership challenges of Gifford Pinchot.
Leadership Facets is designed for experienced leaders. Ideal candidates will be GS-12 and above and represent all functions and geographic locations in the Forest Service. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please call Ellen Geis at (570-296-9629).
