McClellan Creek National Grassland

By Leslie Stewart-Phelps

The man-made impoundment on McClellan Creek created a water based recreation area in the often high and dry Texas Panhandle. Stock and wildlife water is now available without the windmill that was previously so important to the plains.

Lake shoreline lined by trees and shrubs at the edge of grassland.
